The photographers were required on several assignments:

Firstly, on the ECOMORE II project (Economic development, ecosystem modifications, and emerging infectious diseases risk assessment) to illustrate the partnership between AFD and the Institut Pasteur in the fight against emerging diseases in Southeast Asia. We worked in two places:
– A hospital in Thai Binh, Vietnam, where the program is identifying the main risk factors of transmission in various social and climatic environments.
– In a school in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia, to determine if implementation of an integrated vector control strategy against Aedes mosquitoes in schools can reduce peak dengue fever epidemics in communities.

Then the report took place in a bakery school in Ho Chi Minh city, where La Boulangerie Française aims to enable its students to become highly-skilled, responsible adults, socially well-integrated and capable of becoming agents of their own development. The goal is to allow them to create a better future not only for themselves, but also for their families and communities.

Finally, we covered an event organized by AFD with companies and students at the vocational training school of LILAMA 2 (Dong Nai province). The project funds five training centres, three of which will become “Centres of Excellence” with international and regional standards (ASEAN).
