In 1993 he began his formal photographic training at Ryerson University in Toronto, receiving his degree in Photographic Arts. Following graduation, he began his practical training, assisting some leading commercial photographers in the Toronto scene.

After acquiring some valuable experience, he set off to practice his trade, traveling to parts of Europe and Asia. After becoming entranced by the raw elegance of Hanoi, he decided immediately to base himself here, and has been here for the past 7 years working as a commercial photographer and developing artistic projects.

Throughout his variety of commercial contracts, his clients have valued his creative professional manner combined with knowledge of the local culture and his fluency in the local language. His contracts and artistic projects constantly bring him around the developing country, inspiring him to capture a vital and intriguing Vietnam.
